Nihon Shoki is the oldest national chronicle in Japan, and its part of the Kamiyo Scroll is not only widely spread, but also has far-reaching influence. A major feature of the compilation of the Kamiyo Scroll of Nihon Shoki is that in addition to the “text”,there are also a large number of “other statements” recorded in different terms. According to the different types of relationships between the “text” and “other statements”,by sorting out the vocabulary related to the world structure, three characteristics can be summarized. Firstly,we can see the vagueness and variousness of the world structure. Secondly, the understanding of the world structure can be divided into two stages. And last,in addition to the vertical world structure, there is also a parallel world structure in Nihon Shoki. By sorting out the formation process of the above characteristics,we can see the process of continuous expansion and mutual exchange of cultural systems within the ancient East Asian world.
