The rich resources of traditional Chinese medicine，the development of biopharmaceuticals and health care products，and the development of Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone have greatly promoted the modernization process of Hainan’s medical rehabilitation industry. In recent years，the scale of Hainan’s health industry has continued to expand，and its characteristics have been highlighted，forming a supporting pattern of ecology，medical care and tourism. At the same time，the quality and technical level of medical and health care services have been steadily improved，and the benefits have been gradually improved. Under the background of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port，the opening and innovation of Hainan’s service trade，and the official entry into force of RCEP，the market demand is expanding，which not only brings opportunities but also challenges to the medical and health care service industry. For example，there are still some shortcomings in the comprehensive medical professionals，the level of medical institutions，product system，personal information protection and industrial aggregation and integration，and targeted measures should be taken in terms of talents，products，systems and international cooperation to promote the development of medical and health care service industry in Hainan.
