Canada close cooperation with the EU at the political，economic，cultural and social levels，has gradually formed a relatively clear policy for the Central and Eastern European region in recent years. With the recent escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine，Canada has shown a one-sided attitude of “pro-Ukrainian and anti-Russian” in domestic and foreign affairs. This report argues that lobbying by CEE Canadians in Canada，as well as external factors such as the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict，have prompted Canada to more actively exert its influence in the CEE region through frameworks such as NATO.
