After Trudeau’s third term began in 2021,the Indo-Pacific Strategy and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine have great influence on Canadian diplomacy. The Canadian version of the Indo-Pacific Strategy has been officially put on the agenda and is being promoted in the three areas,ie. diplomacy, economy and security. This is in line with the basic direction of the United States and its Allies towards the Indo-Pacific strategy, and it also reflects Canada’s own economic and security demands. The outbreak of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine gives Canada a chance to get more involved in the Western alliance, win the support of a large number of Ukrainian voters, and build a positive image internationally. China-Canada relations, which have been hovering, have become more unstable in such a volatile international situation. Canada finally banned Huawei from 5G construction, which once again dealt a heavy blow to bilateral relations.
