长江经济带是我国未来10年经济社会发展的重点区和增长轴。本文在对建设长江经济带的重大意义、前景、战略定位及沿江省市参与建设的动态进行深入研究的基础上，结合实地考察调研，探讨了安徽对接长江经济带建设存在的优势与劣势、面临的机遇与挑战，着重研究了安徽在长江经济带建设中的功能定位与发展战略、产业在大区域中的分工协作关系、经济社会转型发展的战略重点，以及如何打造新的区域增长极和加快皖江城市带转型升级等问题，并据此提出了相应的对策思路、政策举措及有关建议。
