根据新时代社会高质量发展的要求，本次安徽省社会发展指数评价体系更加突出了科学指数、自然环境指数以及保障指数，适当降低了其他指数的权重，以更好地契合时代发展需求。运用新的社会高质量发展指标体系进行测算后的结果显示：2019年安徽省社会高质量发展指数为0。4055，略高于2018年；地级市中合肥市跃居第一位，芜湖、黄山分别为第二、第三位。尽管最近几年皖北地区经济、社会发展表现亮眼，但相较于皖南地区自然环境较差，因此在新的社会高质量发展指数指标体系中，皖北地区依然整体上要落后于皖南地区。
In accordance with the requirements of high-quality social development in the new era，the evaluation system of Anhui Social Development Index highlights Sci-tech Index，Natural Environment Index，and Social Security Index，and appropriately reduces the weight of other indexes to better accommodate the needs of the era. After calculation，the average High-quality Social Development Index of Anhui Province is 0.4055，and the adjusted index is slightly higher than that of 2018. In the new index system of high-quality social development，Hefei ranks first，with Wuhu and Huangshan ranking second and third respectively. Despite its outstanding performance in economic and social development in recent years，northern Anhui still lags behind southern Anhui as a whole in the new high-quality social development index system，due to its disadvantaged natural environment as compared with that in the south.
