安徽省宗教信仰多元，天主教、基督教、佛教、道教、伊斯兰教等，并在新时期都获得了不同程度的发展。目前，安徽省大约有信教群众300万人，开放的寺观教堂和各类宗教活动场所有5000余处。随着社会转型的深入及宗教信仰自由政策的落实，安徽省宗教社会参与和社会影响加强，在组织建设、人才培养、宫观恢复、社会慈善、旅游休闲等方面卓有成效。在社会建设成为国家发展主体目标的前提下，安徽宗教在理论和实践上都要与此相适应，在道德建设、社会服务建设、宗教文化建设、新农村建设中发挥积极的作用。

At present，there are three million religious believers and five thousand religious places in Anhui province. As the result of Social Transformation and Religious Liberty，all religious sects are strengthening their social participation and social influence，and have fruitful effect on organization construction，talent training，temple recovery，social charity，leisure tourism，etc. Now，social construction is subject goal in Chinese，Anhui religion should adopt the goal either in theory or in practice.
