Based on the indicator system of comprehensive fiscal development index,this paper calculates the scores and rankings of indicators of the comprehensive fiscal development index for 15 major countries by using open data from international databases. After comparing the trend and internal structure of indicators of different countries over the years,this paper finds that:the total score of China’s comprehensive fiscal development index was in lower middle position(between the 10th and 11th)among the 15 countries being compared from 2015 to 2019. Besides,fluctuation range of the total index score is not large and China’s fiscal development in all aspects is relatively balanced. From 2015 to 2019,China’s fiscal operation index ranked in the middle and the score showed a slight downward trend in fluctuations;China’s fiscal stability index ranked lower and the score showed a downward trend;China’s fiscal equality index ranked lower but the index score showed a gradual rise trend in fluctuations;China’s fiscal potential index ranked in the middle and its overall development trend continued to improve.
