2021年新冠肺炎疫情防控进入常态化阶段，马来西亚在持续防控国内疫情、恢复国内经济发展的同时，积极展开对外人文交流，加强与其他国家的人文互动。年内马来西亚出台了《2021年国家文化政策》（DAKEN 2021），努力增强马来传统文化自信，对国家文化发展提出了具体的指导方针，主动适应对外人文交流的新需求。马来西亚不断拓展线上线下相结合的人文交流形式，通过对周边国家的文化外交、对大国的人文外交，增进与其他国家的文化和宗教理解，深化对外合作关系，并继续通过官方与民间相结合的形式推动人文交流的开展，以学术教育交流、科技交流等形式积极向发达国家学习，为马来西亚经济恢复吸取经验和积蓄力量。同时，进一步推进与中国的人文交流活动有序高效开展，深化两国人文合作，促进民心相通。在2021年，马来西亚对外人文交流形式更加多样，主题更加多元，既关注周边国家的友邻关系，又注重与大国保持良好交流，在一定程度上体现出了马来西亚的外交特点。
In 2021，Malaysia continued to prevent and control the domestic pandemic and restore domestic economic development，while actively carrying out foreign cultural exchanges and strengthening cultural interactions with other countries. During the year of 2021，Malaysia introduced the National Cultural Policy 2021（DAKEN 2021），striving to enhance the confidence of Malay traditional culture，put forward specific guidelines for the development of national culture，and actively adapt to the new requirements of foreign cultural exchanges. Malaysia continued to develop online and offline forms of people-to-people and cultural exchanges，enhance cultural and religious understanding with other countries through cultural diplomacy towards neighboring countries and people-to-people and cultural diplomacy towards major countries. The objects of exchanges have not only paid attention to the friendship and cooperation with neighboring countries，but also paid attention to maintaining good exchanges with major countries，which to a certain extent reflects Malaysia’s diplomatic features.
