2020年，在新冠肺炎疫情的冲击下，世界各国经济举步维艰，越南凭借其初期成功抗疫，成为2020年亚太地区乃至全球为数不多经济正增长的国家之一，全年GDP增长2.91%。工业继续保持较好发展势头，工业全行业增加值较2019年增长3.36%，加工制造业仍然是经济主要增长极。展望2021年，越南工贸部制定了越南工业未来几年的发展路线图，体现了越南发展工业的雄心，但新一轮新冠肺炎疫情持续暴发仍将对2021年工业增长具有负面影响。
The global economy suffered from the COVID-19 in 2020，but Vietnam became one of the few countries in the Asia-Pacific region and even the world with positive economic growth within the year，thanks to its initial success in fighting against the epidemic and resulting in an annual GDP growth of 2.91%. The industrial sector remained a good momentum of development，with the added value of the industrial sector increasing by 3.36% compared with that of 2019，and the processing and manufacturing industries remained the major growth poles of the economy. Looking ahead to 2021，Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has laid out a roadmap for the development of Vietnamese industry in the coming years，reflecting Vietnam’s ambition in industrial development，but the continued outbreak of the new round of COVID-19 will still have a negative impact on industrial growth in 2021.
