中国-中东欧国家合作机制的发展经历了酝酿和启动期、快速发展期以及深水期，尽管面临一系列挑战但仍处在不断发展阶段。成立9年来，中国-中东欧国家合作机制在双边的高层会晤、经贸合作、互联互通、农林合作、地方合作、科技教育合作、人文交流合作等方面起到了积极的推动作用。在新冠肺炎疫情全球大流行的背景下，中国-中东欧国家合作逆势前行，巩固了原有合作领域，拓展了新的合作领域。合作仍将以互惠互利、务实合作为基本原则，并会继续致力于挖掘在卫生、绿色发展和环保、互联互通、地方合作、创新与数字发展以及人文交流等领域的合作潜力。
The development of the China-CEEC cooperation mechanism has gone through several stages：startup period，golden period and challenge period. Despite some challenges，it is still undergoing continuous development. Since its establishment，China-CEEC cooperation mechanism has played a positive role in promoting bilateral high-level exchanges，economic and trade investment，interconnection，agricultural and forestry cooperation，local cooperation，science，education，culture，health，and cultural exchanges. In the context of COVID-19 pandemic，the mechanism consolidated the original areas of cooperation，and explored new areas. In the future，the China-CEEC cooperation will be based on principles of reciprocity and pragmatism，and will focus on areas，such as health，green，environmental protection，connectivity，local cooperation，innovation，digital economy，and cultural exchanges.
