The year of 2021 marks the first year of China’s 14th Five-year Plan for Development as well as the starting year after China finishing building a moderately prosperous society in all respects，in which border areas have taken the strategic opportunity to start a new journey in completing socialist modernization in all respects. In 2021，we faced the challenges from the prevention and control of COVID-19 outbreak at the crucial moment when marching into a moderately prosperous society in all respects. All border provinces have pooled their wisdom and efforts to fit into the new development patternof the country. with remarkable success made in important fields of politics，economy，culture，society，ecological civilization construction…Meanwhile，during 2020-2021，each border province has adopted measures and policies in line with their local conditions，showing the characteristics of industrial transformation and upgrading，strengthening provinces with science and technology，green development and improving the level of opening up to the outside world. In 2022，every border province will maintain the stable and progressive trend and will continue to make efforts in stabilizing the economy，accelerating the process of rural revitalization，enhancing the level of openness to the outside world，and consolidating green ecological development，to achieve high-quality economic and social development of the border provinces.
