The lockdown policy amid the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly restricted the economic activities of France, sending shock waves through the production and demand sides of various industries in France. Compared with other industries, the agricultural sector has been less hit by the pandemic. However, with the primary and secondary impact of Covid, certain problems of the French agricultural sector have been exposed. Although no food shortage has resulted from the short-term impact, the agricultural sector in France is still threatened by the secondary impact of the pandemic in the long run due to the limitations of its agricultural production structure and production resources. The agricultural sector being the lifeblood of the country, the French government has introduced many policies to support the supply and demand sides of the agricultural sector while carrying out pandemic prevention and control. Against this background,French agriculture in the post-Covid era may undergo changes in its production mode and its supply and demand structure.
