Students who pursue their studies overseas has been a valuable talent resources for China. In order to better understand their post-graduation career development，Mycos Research Institute has conducted a analysis based on the survey of post-graduate students studying abroad from the class of 2015，2016 and 2017 three years after graduation（including the trend in the number of returnees，types of employees and the quality of domestic employment）；and to demonstrate the development status of the employment of returned overseas students，the research also include the comparison with the data of domestic post-graduate students from the same graduating year. The study found that the return rate of oversea students has rebounded considerably in recent years，and the preference for returning to direct-administered municipalities and sub-provincial division is particularly strong. The private enterprises and three types of foreign-invested enterprises（joint ventures，cooperative ventures，wholly-foreign owned）are the dominant sectors attracting overseas students. Besides，the proportion of those employed in information transmission/software and information technology service industry and education industry has increased，whereas the proportion of those employed in finance industry has to some extent decreased. The proportion of entrepreneurs who start their own business among the overseas graduates is substantially higher than their domestic counterparts. For overseas students who were in the class of 2015-2017，their salary level and degree of employment satisfaction both show an upward trend three years after graduation.
