Tourism service trade is an important part of service trade,an important field of international economic and trade cooperation,plays an important role in the construction of a new development pattern. The “14th Five-Year Plan” policies provide scientific guidance for tourism service trade,the ascendant digital economy provides a new economic environment for tourism service trade,and the application of emerging technologies in the field of tourism increases the convenience of tourism service trade. In recent years,China’s trade in tourism services has been expanding year by year. However,due to the far-reaching impact of COVID-19,the scale and proportion of trade in tourism services have dropped sharply,inbound and outbound tourism has been greatly restricted. Meanwhile,the trade deficit in tourism services has decreased. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period,China’s tourism service trade should focus on developing new forms of business,promoting the transformation,and upgrading of tourism,transforming the potential of outbound tourism consumption,stimulating domestic tourism consumption,continuously reducing the deficit of tourism service trade,optimizing the environment of tourism service trade,and constantly enhancing international competitiveness. High-quality development has become the main theme of China’s economic development. In the future,the structure of tourism service trade will be further optimized,the process of digitalization will continue to accelerate,the momentum of tourism service trade will continue to strengthen,the pace of opening-up will gradually accelerate,and the inbound tourism market will steadily recover.
