Poland has a rich and diverse tangible cultural heritage due to its special geographical location,rich history,and tolerant national spirit. Poland’s emphasis on the protection of tangible cultural heritage is dynamic and fruitful,and its multi-layered and comprehensive legal system as well as its well-established institutions have formed a dual quadrant of national tangible cultural heritage protection. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland and the National Heritage Institute,various projects of tangible cultural heritage protection have been successfully implemented,focusing on the preservation and restoration of cultural relics,the construction of national identity,the restoration of historical events,the transmission of cultural traditions,and the digitization of cultural resources. In recent years,Poland,as a State Party of the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage,a member of the EU,and a participant in the “Belt and Road” and China-CEEC cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries,has been committed to international cooperation on tangible cultural heritage. This report systematically introduces the mechanism and experience of tangible cultural heritage protection in Poland,aiming to provide inspiration for the protection of tangible cultural heritage in China.
