Poland suffered a heavy blow because of the global outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020. In response to this crisis, the Polish Ministry of Culture took urgent steps to launch the “Anti-Crisis Shield”,a set of legislative acts establishing special measures to counteract the effects of COVID-19 on social and economic issues, and a series of targeted cultural support projects. The government regulated the relevant laws and regulations, provided appropriate policies and financial support to Polish cultural institutions. With the development of information technology such as digitalization and multimedia, online cultural activities had increased in quantity, which to a certain extent maintained the cultural participation of the people, the convenience of knowledge accessibility, and assured the physical and mental health of the citizens as well as the safety of Polish cultural development in Poland.
