In 2021，the Russian society has made heated discussions on issues related to the national economy and people’s livelihood，especially the population problem and related policies. In the context of the election of the Eighth State Duma，the Russian government has introduced a series of measures to improve people’s livelihood，while strengthening the control of civil society and cyberspace. Generally，the Russian society is stable and controllable but the living standards of the Russian people have not improved substantially and the deteriorating relations with Western countries also pose threat to the Russian society.
