In recent years,in order to adapt to the new trend of global higher education system and meet the demand for talents in domestic economic and social development,Italian higher education institutions have generally carried out reform and innovation in the curriculum system. Since 2021,in the context of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and promoting economic recovery in the post-pandemic era,the direction of the above-mentioned reform and innovation has become clearer. In particular,the introduction of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan has created opportunities for further reform and innovation. This article summarizes the progress and main contents of the reform and innovation of the curriculum system of Italian higher education institutions(including art colleges)in recent years,including a series of specific measures oriented to employment and internationalization,such as the establishment of new courses and new majors. The main driving factors and effects of the reform and innovation are also analyzed.
