With the rapid development of blockchain technology and step-by-step explorations of applications focusing on financial sector by financial institutions in recent years，adequate progress has been made in the applications of blockchain technology，meanwhile some practical programs have been implemented in areas such as digital bill，clearance and settlement，electronic certificate，etc. However，due to the imbalances in aspects like node scale，performance and fault-tolerance，inter-chain connection barriers，difficulties to maintain information consistencies within and without chains，deficiencies in technical and applicable specifications，there are still some certain bottlenecks and problems in blockchain applications. This article，considering the current situation of blockchain applications in domestic financial sector，has analyzed the progress of techniques and applications of blockchain in China，bottlenecks and problems，typical scenarios and tendencies of application in financial sector. In the end，some suggestions of promoting a healthy and orderly development of blockchain technologies are presented.We will strengthen research on blockchain technology，promote the development of standards for the application of blockchain technology in the financial sector，and guide the rational application of blockchain technology in the financial sector.
