欧洲自古以来就是与中国关系密切的“遥远的邻居”，当今中欧双方在国际舞台上的交流与互动对国际社会有着深远影响。基于华中科技大学国家传播战略研究院“寰球民意指数（2020）”调研数据，研究从基本认知、社会文化交流认知以及热点议题认知三个维度探讨了中国公众对德国、法国、意大利、英国等欧洲主要国家的基本认知情况。研究发现，中国公众对于欧洲主要国家态度积极，认为德国、英国、法国在政治、经济、军事与科技领域处于世界大国前列；德国是中国公众最感兴趣的国家之一；多数受访者认可中欧关系的重要性，将中德、中英、中法视为竞争与伙伴关系，对“脱欧”后英国与欧盟对华合作前景充满信心。
Europe is a “distant neighbor” closely related to China. In the context of the increasingly deepening globalization，China and the EU have had a profound impact on the international community in terms of national development and interaction on the international stage. Based on Global Opinion Index （2020） survey data，the study discusses the Chinese public’s views and evaluation of major European countries such as Germany，France，Italy，and the United Kingdom. The result found that the Chinese public has a positive attitude towards major European countries and believes that Germany，UK and France are among the world’s major powers in the fields of politics，economy，military and science and technology；Germany has a strong appeal to Chinese people and is one of countries they mostly interested in. Meanwhile，most respondents recognized the importance of China-EU relations，regarded Germany，France and UK as “competitor and partner” countries，and were full of confidence in the prospect of cooperation between the UK and the EU with China after brexit.
