To further maintain the critical position as the world’s most livable city and European link hub，Vienna based on its unique strengths and enormous challenges in the future，adhered to the development concept of “people-centered”，formulated “Vienna Economy and Innovation 2030”. Over the next decade，the strategy proposes to focus on six areas of leadership and ten strategic action areas using the specific flagship projects as a vehicle. By building the cooperation networks with kinds of social partners，the city will make efforts in response to the city’s climate problems，reducing resource consumption，improving the level of urban intelligence and so on. The outstanding urban solutions and products，which have strong characteristics of Vienna，will be put forward to maintain people’s high living standard and to gain opportunities for success in the global economy. Vienna’s plan provides a useful reference for China to deal with urban challenges，build “People’s city” and achieve high-quality development.
