2019年是五四运动爆发100周年。五四运动促进了马克思主义在中国的传播，为创立中国共产党做了思想上和干部上的准备，拓展了世界无产阶级的革命理论与实践。五四运动标志着中国新民主主义革命的开端，促进了世界范围内无产阶级革命运动的紧密联合。在新时代，弘扬五四精神并赋予其新的时代内涵，有助于为建设中国特色社会主义伟大实践提供不竭动力；借鉴五四运动的现实启示，有助于推动国际共产主义运动的复兴与世界社会主义运动的发展。
2019 is the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement. The May 4th Movement promoted the spread of Marxism in China，made ideological and cadre preparations for the establishment of the Communist Party of China，and expanded the revolutionary theory and practice of the world proletariat. The May 4th Movement marked the beginning of China’s new democratic revolution and promoted the close unity of the proletarian revolutionary movements in the world. In the new era，carrying forward the spirit of the May 4th Movement and endowing it with new connotations of the times will provide inexhaustible motive force for the great practice of building socialism with Chinese characteristics；drawing lessons from the realistic enlightenment of the May 4th Movement will promote the revival of international Communist movements and the development of world socialist movements.
