在新冠肺炎疫情的重创下，加拿大社会出现了百年来最低的人口增长，严峻且广泛的失业潮、持续拉大的贫富分化以及紧缺的住房供应等问题，也凸显了长期存在于加拿大社会的体制性、结构性问题。2020年，加拿大社会政策主要围绕以增加就业为核心的一揽子福利、蓄势待发的国家住房战略以及建设更公平和更包容的加拿大三个方面进行。加拿大从战略部署、资金支持等多个方面入手，并针对女性群体、工人群体、老年人群体和少数群体等都进行了相应的政策调整。未来加拿大社会是否能恢复其健康、有序和平稳的结构，这在极大程度上取决于加拿大是否能有效控制住新冠肺炎疫情并迅速实现经济复苏。
Under the severe damage of the COVID-19 pandemic，Canadian society has experienced the lowest population growth in a century，severe and widespread unemployment，continued widening of the gap between the rich and the poor，and the shortage of housing supply，which also highlights the long-standing institutional and structural problems in Canadian society. In 2020，Canada’s social policy focused on three aspects：a welfare package centered on increasing employment，a ready to take-off national housing strategy，and a fairer and more inclusive Canada. It started from strategic deployment and financial support，and made corresponding policy adjustments for women，workers，old people，and minority groups. In the future，whether Canadian society can be restored to a healthy，orderly and stable structure is largely influenced by the ability to economic recovery from COVID-19 pandemic.
