Due to the COVID-19 pandemic，the economic development of Canada was seriously thwarted. Its future development would be shadowed by uncertainty. The inflation had declined，unemployment improved，but the trade deficit expanded again. The national financial deficit was stable，thus the national fiscal policy would remain prudent. While on the political and social level，the support rate of the Trudeau government and the Liberal Party was high thanks to their response to the pandemic. However，the vaccination process was going slowly. The government had put high priority on the issue that its citizens could respond to the pandemic. Meanwhile，domestic crime continued，but the society remained secured overall. In terms of diplomatic policies and national image，the major power policy of Canada further leaned toward the United States，and its presence in Asia-Pacific was marginalized. Besides，the Trudeau administration performed badly with regard to the poor implementation of environment and climate change policies and the inadequate delivery of international development assistance. Although the international reputation of Canada had risen，its soft power was compromised.
