警务公开作为政府信息公开的重要组成部分，近年来发展十分迅速，并得到了越来越多的社会关注。随着网络与信息技术的进步与普及，公众对于通过互联网获取警务信息的需求越来越大，公安部门也一直在通过信息化建设的不懈努力回应公众关切。为了客观反映和评估我国警务公开实际状况，中国社会科学院法学研究所“中国警务公开研究”课题组于2017年底对我国81个公安机关警务公开状况进行了评估，根据评估情况，总结了警务公开工作中的亮点、问题和不足，并尝试提出改进建议。
With the advancement and popularization of cyber and information technologies，there is a growing public demand for the disclosure of information about police affairs through the Internet，and public security organs have been making unremitting efforts to respond to this public demand. To objectively reflect and assess the actual situation of openness of police affairs in China，the Project Team on the Openness of Police Affairs in China conducted an assessment of the openness of police affairs in 81 public security organs throughout the country in the end of 2017 and，based on the results of the assessment，summarized the achievements，problems and deficiencies in the work of openness of police affair in China and put forward some recommendations for the improvement of the work.
