Science education has been emphasised by the Macau Special Administrative Region Government，with its content renewed through the introduction of region-wide syllabus framework and basic learning capability requirements. Extra-curricular activities have also been invested to attract wider participation by young people. Through the efforts of all walks of the community，science education in Macau has achieved a clear and positive outcome. Students score high points in the Programme for International Student Assessment and are more willing to opt for science degree courses when enrolling in universities. Awards and mentions have been won in many prestigious international science competition. More investments are required from the Special Administrative Region Government the continue to improve science education.
