In 2020，Malaysia’s political situation is in turmoil. The newly formed Perikatan Nasional government is stumbling along amidst the outbreak of COVID-19 Pandemic，with internal conflicts within the coalition，external shocks from opposition parties and indirect interference from the royal family. Meanwhile，the new political landscape has been shaken by the split in the opposition parties and the Sabah state elections. The “Pluralism under Malay Dominance” is being replaced by a new order and the Malaysian political order is being reconfigured amidst turbulence.
