大力发展港口，形成产业集聚，促进城市经济发展，形成港产城联动已成为大势所趋。本报告基于全球与中国经济发展走向分析，论述全球化与国际分工中的港产城联动发展趋势，并借鉴国际化港口城市和国内港产城联动发展的成功经验，分析北部湾国际门户港港产城联动发展现状，提出北部湾国际门户港港产城联动发展路径：做好港产城联动发展的顶层设计；筑牢港产城联动发展根基；强化联动发展的内生机制；保持联动发展的可持续性；加强产业衔接，推动港口建设与城市发展，深化联动发展的内涵。
It has become a general trend to vigorously develop ports，form industrial agglomeration，promote city economic development，and form port-industry-city linkage. Based on the analysis of the trend of global and China economic development，this research discusses the development on the trend of port-industry-city linkage in globalization and international division of labor，and draws on the successful experience of international port city and domestic port-industry-city linkage development，analyzes the current situation of port-industry-city linkage development of the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port. The development path of the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port port-industry-city linkage is put forward：to do a good job in the top-level design of port-industry-city linkage development；to strengthen the foundation of joint development of port-industry-city；to strengthen the endogenous mechanism of linkage development；to maintain the sustainability of linkage development；to strengthen industrial convergence，to expand the development of port and city，to deepen the connotation of linkage development.
