本土华文教师是海外各国开展华文教育的生力军,当前海外华文教育的转型发展有赖于本土华文教师发挥积极的主导作用,把握他们职业心理状态极其关键。英国是欧洲乃至海外极为重要的华文教育阵地,对英国本土华文教师工作满意度的研究具有重要的实践价值。本调查通过对144份有效问卷的深入分析,揭示了英国本土华文教师工作满意度水平及其影响因素。研究发现,受访教师对其工作的整体满意度较高,各子维度的满意程度从高到低依次为“自我实现”“人际关系”“进修晋升”“物质环境”“外部支持”“领导管理”;不同教师在性别、教龄、学历、任教机构和教学对象方面呈现较为明显的差异;在影响因素方面,学历、教龄、家庭与组织的支持是影响英国本土华文教师工作满意度的重要显著性变量。据此,研究提出了旨在提升英国本土华文教师工作满意度的相关建议:改善组织管理并为本土华文教师的个人发展提供外部支持、对不同教龄和任教机构的本土华文教师开展针对性培训、关注本土华文教师的情感智力和自我心理调适能力、建立本土华文教师学习交流机制并提供职业发展通道,以及促进华文教育研究者与一线华文教师双边合作与共同发展。
TCSL Teachers are those who teach Chinese as second language around the world. This survey reveals the job satisfaction level of local Chinese teachers in the UK and its influencing factors through an in-depth analysis of 144 valid questionnaires. The study found that the interviewed teachers’ overall satisfaction is relatively high. The degree of satisfaction in each sub-dimension from high to low is “self-actualization”,“interpersonal relationship”,“training and promotion”,“material environment”,“external support” and “Leadership management”. Different teachers show obvious differences in gender,teaching experience,educational background,teaching institutions and teaching objects. In terms of influencing factors,educational background,teaching experience,family and organizational environment support affect the job satisfaction of local Chinese teachers in the UK as important significant variables. Based on this,the research puts forward relevant suggestions to improve the job satisfaction level of local teachers from five aspects,namely to improve organizational management and provide external support for the professional development of local teachers,to carry out targeted training for local teachers based on their teaching experience and teaching institutions,to improve local Chinese teachers’ emotional intelligence and self-regulate ability,to set up the communication mechanism and professional development opportunities for local Chinese teachers,and to foster the bilateral cooperation between Chinese education researchers and overseas Chinese teachers.
