云南在孟中印缅合作概念的提出、合作机制的推进、合作项目的实施方面发挥了主体性作用。自2013年5月孟中印缅经济走廊倡议正式提出以来，走廊建设取得了一些进展。但与此同时，走廊建设在政治和安全领域面临潜在挑战。本文针对潜在政治与安全挑战，提出了相应的政策思考。
Yunnan plays a pivotal role in putting forward the concept of BCIM Economic Corridor，promoting the mechanisms of cooperation，the implementation of cooperation projects. Since the official inception of the BCIM Economic Corridor（BCIM for short）in May 2013，the BCIM has seen some progress. In the meanwhile，the BCIM is faced with political and security challenges. This paper puts forward some policy proposals in reference to these challenges.
