narrowing the development gap attracted a lot of attention from the region and all over the world. Many cooperation arrangements had been launched to meet the aim of narrowing the development gap through promoting regional cooperation in Indo-China peninsula，but didn’t work well. The newly initiated Lancang-Mekong Cooperation，which is linked closely with China’s Belt and Road Initiative，will provide an effective solution to the economic development of the region. It will work complementarily with other mechanisms instead of competing with them.
