2017 was the key year for the Duterte government of Philippines to witness whether its campaign promises could be fulfilled. However，a series of emergencies in Philippines have disrupted the political and economic reforms and the process of Duterte administration. From the perspectives of Philippine internal affairs and the economic development，this paper describes the major measures taken by the Duterte government of the Philippines in the political and economic fields especially since 2017，and analysis of the deep reasons behind the hard to cash in his campaign promise as well as to predict the future prospects of Philippines's political and economic development
