Since 2011,Myanmar has experienced the transition from military rule to elected government, especially in November 2015,the National League for Democracy(NLD)led by Aung San Suu Kyi won the general election. After the NLD government came to power,it put forward three major tasks:national reconciliation, economic development and constitutional revision. In November 2020,the current ruling party, the Democratic League, won a complete victory in the general election and was about to begin its second five-year term in power. After Myanmar’s political transformation, the domestic economy has achieved a relatively fast growth rate, and the social development indicators have been improved. However, the spread of the global epidemic in 2020 has hit Myanmar’s economy hard. At the same time, the Myanmar government implemented the balanced diplomatic strategy, which gradually improved the international political environment of Myanmar, but also intensified the competition situation of major powers in Myanmar. In February 2021,Myanmar’s military took over power again due to its dissatisfaction with the results of the general election. Since then,Myanmar’s ten-year political transition has returned from the elected government to the military. The future political and economic development trend of Myanmar is of great concern.
