The outbreak of the COVID-19 had a profound impact on the status quo of immigrants and refugees in Greece. As Greece has adopted strict prevention and control measures, its epidemic prevention effectiveness is much better than other southern European countries. Affected by the epidemic, the number of refugees received by Greece has dropped significantly, but the health problems and psychological panic of immigrates and refugees brought about by the epidemic have brought new challenges to the management and control of immigration in Greece. In 2020,Greece’s foreign population, net immigrants and immigrants continued to rise. In terms of immigration integration, the economic recession brought about by the epidemic has kept the unemployment rate in Greece high, which has largely affected the integration of immigrants in Greece. Issues such as the imbalance of the demographic structure and the low degree of immigrant integration will continue to plague Greek society for a long time.
