Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski’s film Zimna Wojna was often hailed as an example of black-white photography,but the ideological value of this film also deserves study. This film is a continuation of Pawlikovski’s thoughts on artistic creation. Zimna Wojna is freed from the stereotypical Cold War mentality and rejects both Utopian and Anti-utopian narratives. It is a genuine attempt to enter the “post-Soviet time”.
