The French economy has suffered a severe shock as a result of the COVID-19,which has revealed a lack of industrial capacity in certain key areas of the economy and has put its economic sovereignty in jeopardy. In this context,the French government has implemented a relocalization policy in some key sensitive areas through financial support. It is an industrial chain-wide relocalization,involving industries that are not only aimed at solving the production shortage in the current process of fight against the COVID-19 epidemic,but also in line with future industrial strategies. This paper analyses the characteristics of industrial relocalization,enumerates the main sectors involved,with a concluding remark that depicts difficulties France may encounter in its industrial relocalization.
