China and Latin American countries have a solid historical foundation in cultural exchanges and cooperation. Successful cases have emerged，such as the construction of the Sino-Latin American cultural exchanges and cooperation mechanism with the core of the subforums in specific fields under China-CELAC Forum，the Confucius Institute-based educational exchanges and cooperation，and the non-governmental exchanges represented by the Friendship Cities. At present，the exchanges and cooperation between China and Latin America in the field of protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage are worth expecting； the “red memory” shared by both China and Latin America can be the constructive factor for enhancing value communication； the innovative “Football Diplomacy” can practically promote people-to-people bond. All these factors have injected new impetus into Sino-Latin American cultural exchanges and cooperation，and the prospects are worth looking forward to.
