The Marine economy of the Greater Bay Area has begun to take shape and achieved great achievements in terms of economic scale，innovation capacity and industrial layout. However，according to the eight key tasks proposed by the Central Economic Work Conference，there are still some contradictions and deficiencies in the Marine economy of the Greater Bay Area. In the future，the Greater Bay Area should play the five major roles of system exploration，city leadership，market expansion，relationship construction and internal and external connectivity.
