利用Dow Jones Factiva数据库中的816篇英文报纸新闻报道材料,对美国、英国、加拿大3个欧美发达国家,以及俄罗斯、印度、新加坡、泰国、卡塔尔、哈萨克斯坦、乌克兰、土耳其、希腊9个共建“一带一路”代表性国家的主要英文媒体2000~2020年间涉穗报道进行历时性分析,解构境外英文媒体他塑视野下的广州城市形象、趋势特征与国别差异,提出广州国际城市创新传播的策略与建议。
Based on the 816 English newspaper news report materials in Dow Jones Factiva database,this research diachronically analyzes Guangzhou-related news report from the year 2000 to 2020 released by the major English media of three European and American developed countries:the United States,the United Kingdom and Canada,and nine Belt and Road countries:Russia,India,Singapore,Thailand,Qatar,Kazakhstan,Ukraine,Turkey and Greece,exploring Guangzhou’s city image from “others’ viewpoint” by overseas English media. The trends of writing Guangzhou related reports and differences of reports among different countries are also discussed. This research,at the end,puts forward strategies and suggestions for innovative communication of Guangzhou as an international city.
