On October 19，2020，Alibaba Technology Co.，Ltd. announced that it has agreed with its subsidiary Tao Bao （China） Software Co.，Ltd.’s purchase of 70.94% shares of Jixin Holding Group from the French multinational company Auchan Retail International S.A. and its subsidiary. The total offering price is 28 billion Hong Kong dollars （i.e.，3.6 billion US dollars）. This transaction is an important component of Alibaba’s new-retail strategy.
