In 2013 Chile hold the general election. Michelle Bachelet，as the candidate of the New Majority，defeated the centre-right’s candidate Evelyn Matthei and elected president for a second time. Based on a solid economic fundamental，the Chilean economy gained a moderate growth. The Central Bank reduced key monetary policy interest rates in order to stimulate liquidity. It is notable that unemployment reached a new low. Chile expanded its economic ties with China and continued to advance the integration process of the Alianza del Pacífico. Its relations with Bolivia soured after the Morales government took to the International Court of Justice to reclaim the sea outlet.
