By collecting the data of the trade of Chinese books from 2008 to 2016，this paper analyzes the development of China’s foreign trade of books，proposing that the import and export of books in China are both growing. However，the trade deficit of books has not changed，and the ratio of import and output remains relatively stable；Although the trade scale and the ratio of E-journal are low，the development of E-journal will have a promised future；the regional structure of the import and export of copyrights in China is relatively concentrated；the various projects of the Chinese government have successfully promoted the foreign translation of excellent works；the Belt and Road has created a good opportunity for the book Trade of China and the other countries relative to the Belt and Road；Private enterprises are becoming more and more active in China’s foreign trade of books；The exhibition economy has played an important role in promoting the foreign trade of China’s books；With the improvement of the foreign trade of books，an increasing number of publishing enterprises begin to explore foreign markets and foreign investments.
