The pandemic of COVID-19 in 2020 had a direct impact on the economic activities of the service sector in various countries. Cross-border investment activities were greatly restricted in the short term and investment efficiency was greatly reduced. The foreign investment of service industry enterprises is faced with the increasing risk of policy uncertainty in the host country, and the investment environment in the host country is becoming more complex. The trend of “anti-globalization” is rising again, and the risk of investment failure is greater than that in the non pandemic period. In order to support chinese service enterprises to “go out” smoothly in the post pandemic period,it is suggested to reasonably assess investment risks and formulate detailed response plans;actively communicate with potential partners to jointly promote the progress of project cooperation;purchase overseas investment insurance to provide protection for enterprises investment behavior;increase direct investment in emerging service industries to enhance the diversification level of industrial flow.
