水质污染是中国面临的最为严重的环境问题之一，防治水质污染已成为中国环境保护的一项紧迫任务。对浦东新区1999年及2011年两次河道水质普查结果进行比较，综合论述2000～2014年间浦东新区主要河道水质变化趋势，分析河道水质污染原因，河道治理过程中存在的问题，并提出浦东新区对以后河道水环境保护要创新环境管理的制度方法，采取切实可行的治理建议，以期为政府及河道管理部门提供参考。
Water pollution is one of the most serious environmental problems in China. Pollution control has become an urgent task for environmental protection. Based on comparison of Pudong New Area river network water quality findings in 1999 and 2011，analysis of changing trend on water quality during 2000～2014，causes of pollution，and problems on river regulation work was made. The feasible proposals and measures were presented for water environmental protection and provided for decision-making support for government.
