中国对萨摩亚的教育援助始于1984年。迄今，中国共派出14位汉语教师、21位理科教师在萨摩亚国立大学和中小学任教。2018年，萨摩亚国立大学孔子学院成立，中国对萨摩亚的教育援助更加完善、系统。目前来看，萨摩亚教育主要存在投入少、普通家庭不够重视、教师待遇低、教师学历低、课堂效率低、师资力量不均衡、教育评价不健全等问题。在今后的援助工作中，中国可以进一步与萨摩亚教育体育文化部沟通，通过提升萨摩亚教师学历、结成更多友好学校以及建立援助基地、远程教育基地、职业教育专区等措施，帮助萨摩亚提高教育教学质量。
China’s education aid to Samoa began in 1984. Up to now，China has sent 14 Chinese teachers and 21 science teachers working in National University of Samoa and several primary and secondary schools. In 2018，the Confucius Institute of National University of Samoa was established，China’s education assistance to Samoa has been more perfect and systematic. At present，there are also several educational problems in Samoa，such as less investment in education，insufficient attention paid by ordinary families，teachers’ treatment to be improved，low educational level of teachers，poor teaching efficiency，unbalanced teaching staff，and imperfect education evaluation. In the future assistance work，China can further communicate with the Ministry of Education，Sports and Culture of Samoa to help Samoa improve the quality of education and teaching as soon as possible by improving the educational level of Samoa teachers，establishing more sister schools，establishing aid bases，distance education bases and vocational education zones.
