2019年，太平洋岛国政局总体稳定，多国迎来大选，布干维尔等热点地区进行了公投或即将迎来公投。太平洋岛国政治生态日趋向好，政治民主化进程逐步推进，但一些固有问题尚未得到解决，如政党发育不成熟、部分地区政局动荡等。展望2020年，太平洋岛国政治形势总体上有望继续保持稳定，但同时也面临一系列不确定因素及风险。
PICs have remained generally stable in 2019，and some countries heads into elections. However，some inherent issues have still roiled PICs’ politics. Hotspots such as bougainville have held or are about to hold referendums. Pacific island countries are expected to maintain peaceful and stable on the whole，but they also face a series of uncertainties and risks.
