Indonesia’s political and social situation during the general election year was volatile but the overall situation was stable. After winning the election Joko Widodo settled with his opponents，which in turn gave the new cabinet an ideal governing environment. Indonesian economy that grew steadily in an uncertain external environment outperformed most countries in the region. In terms of diplomacy，Indonesia is active on the international stage and actively develops mutually beneficial cooperation with various countries. Its diplomacy has a strong pragmatic character.
