This article discusses the latest development of congestion pricing in world cities based on the report of the National League of Cities(NLC)“Making Space:Congestion Pricing in Cities”. Focus on the case studies in London,Stockholm and Singapore,including policy background,financing the Program,evolution of the program and lessons learned. Introduces the challenges in commuting patterns in U.S. cities and the basic situation of formulating congestion pricing in New York,analyzes the challenges of fairness and other aspects. Further,puts forward suggestions on possible congestion pricing policies in Chinese cities.
