近年来,南加州“内陆帝国”都市区因宜居性和靠近太平洋海岸的便利性而获得了惊人的增长,却没有呈现繁荣之势。并且经济的荣枯循环减少了许多好工作,让当地很多工人的处境糟糕。外部技术与贸易的发展存在削弱该地区几个最关键行业的竞争力的可能。发展集中“好工作”岗位和“有前途的工作”岗位的“机会产业”能填补该地区未来就业缺口,有助于提升当地居民收入水平。该地的发展经验与教训对中国都市区建设而言其有借鉴意义。
Although the Inland Empire has seen exceptional growth for years thanks to its affordability and proximity to the Pacific Coast,it has hardly grown more prosperous. A series of booms and busts have claimed many of the region’s good jobs,leaving some workers worse off. Meanwhile,technology and trade threaten to diminish the growth and competitiveness of several of the region’s most critical industries. Therefore,advancing “opportunity industries”,concentrating good jobs and promising jobs,is a way out for the region’s job deficit. It could recover residential income back to the level before 21867 financial crisis. Both developmental experience and lesson of Inland Empire shed light on the advance of undeveloped area in Shanghai city-region.
